"Dance as if the whole world was watching!"


These are Academy students ages 6-10 yrs old, who demonstrate an understanding their own personal dance space and body awareness.  Students in the Mini devision (upon evaluation), will be allowed to participate in acro and hip hop classes as apart of their training curriculum.


Additionally, Mini students selected from auditions will be trained to compete in Tap, Jazz and Hip Hop dance. Members of this team will perform in one or all pieces based on how well they pick up the choreography and execute set pieces for competition season. Prior to competition season, dancers will participate in performances around the City of Atlanta to promote and showcase the 3D Mini Team. 3D Mini’s will be attending 3 competitions for the 2018-19 season.


Mini students are expected to have at least one year of prior dance experience before auditioning to join this track. Students are required to take ballet, jazz, hip hop, & tap as a part of their course of study throughout their season.  In order for a Mini student to graduate to (Pre-Elite/Junior), they must undergo an end of semester evaluation given by both the artistic director & director of education, as well as their core teachers.

The 3D Mini training track is geared towards the development of the new dancer, throughout their scheduled class requirements. Training students will not participate in outside performances, however they are highly encouraged to attend season conventions and competitions. 

3D Mini Training Track Monthly Class Fee, will be based on their customized approved schedule.

Class fees will be drafted on the 1st of the month.  Class Fees do NOT include: specialty workshops and guest master classes. Pay in full option receives a 5% discount off of total season price.


Base Expectations

  • Performance Skills

    • Dancer performs choreography with energy, remembering choreography without assistance or blackouts.

    • Dancer is motivated to practice on their own without supervision.

  • Technical Skills

    • Dancer mimics level, pictures, and energy.

    • Recognizes personal space

  • Commitment Expectations

    • 8 or more hours of dance per week (includes class and rehearsals)

    • Weekly classes in Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, and Modern

  • Facility Expectations

    • Must develop and maintain their commercial look and aesthetic


The Mini performance company members are composed of highly skilled students, who meet the performance skills, technical skills, commitment expectations, & facility expectations required to become a part of this extraordinary team.  Company members compete in the seasons listed competitions (conventions also) as well as performances in and around the City of Atlanta.  Company members are also eligible, upon selection to perform with advance division company members in selected showcases and performances.  Members can also choose to compete solos, duets, and/or trios upon evaluation.

3D Mini Co. Members also receive branding training with a focus on how to become a successful dancer though great etiquette, audition know how, and resume building.
